The Contest for the artistic and spatial concept for the permanent exhibition of the
new Museum of Wielkopolska Uprising 1918 – 1919 in Poznań

The Wielkopolska Museum of Independence, based at ul. Woźna 12, 61-777 in Poznań invites you to participate in the Contest for the development of the artistic and spatial concept for the permanent exhibition of the Museum of Wielkopolska Uprising 1918-1919 in Poznań. Interested parties are invited to submit applications for the Contest by May 12, 2023. The Contest deadline for submitting entries is August 25, 2023.
The grand prize is PLN 50,000. The total prize pool is PLN 108,000. The Principal will negotiate with the Contest Participant whose Contest entry is selected as the best, the possibility of granting to the Participant a single-source procurement procedure for the development of the full exhibition design documentation. The maximum remuneration of the winning Contest Participant for the execution of the subject of the procurement is PLN 4,000,000.
The theme of the exhibition of the new Museum of the Wielkopolska Uprising 1918-1919 in Poznań is the following slogan: “Everyday work, Victory in moments of trial.” The Contest aims to select from among the submitted works the concept that most completely meets the substantive, narrative, aesthetic, artistic, programmatic, functional and utilitarian objectives of the Organizer. The permanent exhibition will be housed in the institution’s new main building, which will be built on the slopes of the St. Wojciech’s Hill in Poznań. The permanent exhibition will be located on level -2.
The Contest Participants prepare four tasks:
- Overall artistic and spatial concept
- Detailed artistic and spatial concept of the two indicated themes
- Visual and spatial concept of the central space
- Display solutions for two designated historical events
